Melissa always seemed to inspire me to new heights of silliness and had a way of convincing me to do the completely embarassing things she was never quite willing to do herself. The girl had peer pressure down to a science and I fell for it everytime. But I loved the delight she could find in the goofy and simple things in life. For example, I can image her finding all sorts of entertaining things to do with a $1.49 bag of gummy bears (not all of which would be fitting for public eyes). For her birthday I took up the charge of delighting in silliness and did a photoshoot. This is for you sis.

Another year (4) and I still can't believe it happened. Somethings you just never get over and at certain times it is real hard to live with and I wish that no one would ever have to experience this turmoil. I love and miss you very much Melissa and am looking forward to seeing you again, with hugs and kisses for etetrnity. Mom

Ryan really is an A-hole now. He still blames himself for everything that happened and he's having a really hard time dealing so he just gets mean. I just think of how some things would be SO much different if she were still here and all the things that would have never happened, some good and some bad. Mainly Ryan though; I think she would have made him a better person....
